Creating jobs in an expensive locale, buying locally produced products as practically feasible, and continuing to build a brand that supports Hawaii and, most specifically Maui, is all part of the Maui Brewing Company vision which Garrett exemplifies. He is dedicated to leaving as small of a carbon and human footprint on the island as possible, as evidenced by the array of PV panels (100%) that cover the roof, the EV chargers that are located at the brewery, and investments that will allow the Brewery to operate off-grid.

Maui Brewing Company recently completed their new production facility which has increased capacity from 24,000 barrels of beer to 100,000 barrels (2015). The expansion will allow MBC to evolve into a “craft beverage company” with plans to distill as well as produce craft sodas, ciders, and meads for those with gluten-free dietary restrictions.

MBC is a fiercely local company and has remained steadfast regarding local production. The Maui Brewing Company team are stewards of their communities and the ‘aina, and curators of the craft beer way of life. Their beers have been recognized worldwide for quality and innovation.
