Kihei, Hawaii (December 8, 2020) – Maui Hard Seltzer announces it has earned its first medals at the 2020 U.S. Open Beverage Championship less than a year after launching the brand. Maui Hard Seltzer’s Acai earned a Bronze Medal in the Berry category, while POG (passionfruit, orange, guava) earned a Silver Medal in the POG category. This was the first year for the U.S. Beverage Championship in which beverage makers entered Hard Seltzers, Soft Drinks, and Hard Kombucha.

A brand extension of Hawaii’s largest independent craft brewery, Maui Hard Seltzer debuted in January 2020 with the launch of POG, Citrus, and Dragon Fruit flavors. The spiked sparkling water with a hint of natural flavors provide a sessionable low calorie (100 calories), low carb (<1g), zero sugars, gluten free offering to consumers. Mixed 12-packs include an Acai flavor option as well.

Maui Hard Seltzer is available in six-packs for single flavors and in aforementioned mix 12-packs through key retailers including Whole Foods, Safeway, 7-Eleven, Foodland, and Tamura’s, among others. The seltzer can also be found at select restaurant, bar and resort partners, including Maui Brewing Company’s restaurant locations on Maui and Oahu. Distribution is currently expanding to the 23 mainland markets where Maui Brewing Company products are available.
